Salla White wine label – the call of the free spirit
Salla White wine label is one of those attractive labels that concentrate art and special effects in a single image. Horses were inspiration for many artists, designers, painters etc. – Salla White makes no exception. The Salla Estate is located in east Bulgaria, very close to the Black Sea and has a small horse farm. As you see winemaking, good wines, the beauty of the nature are in harmony with those noble animals. This is the reason why they were chosen to take the leading part on our label.
The horse head is drawn with black ink and Pilot Parallel Pen. Scanned and delicately retouched it was printed on textured light creamy paper. The second step was to create almost the same image but this time we added some elements specific for horse anatomy – eyes, mouth, hairs etc. All these were necessary because this second image was printed with high emboss transparent varnish and as you could possibly noticed the result of blending the first and the second images, one printed with black ink and the second printed with varnish, resulted in a very catchy nearly 3D final image of a horse head.
Second low embossing varnish was overprinted against the brand name in order to highlight it without applying any other special effects.
The label is very large offering enough space so the illustration could shine with its full beauty.
